Celebrating Moments and Milestones in 2023

As we at Primp Events bid farewell to 2023, our hearts are filled with gratitude for a year of growth in every way. We love how our mobile salon and spa services bring smiles to people’s faces, and this year we did it for an incredible range of amazing businesses, brands and people.

There were new collaborations with iconic brands like Nike, Birkenstock, CoverGirl and Byrdie. We loved re-uniting with a wide range of great partners from Sally Beauty to PwC. New York Fashion Week was bigger, better and more exciting than ever. It is always a thrill to see our work at the shows. And there is nothing that puts a smile on our faces like getting to meet and service the women of Project Greenhope. 

The whirlwind that was 2023 was made possible by our rock star team. They are wonderfully talented, truly dedicated and simply just lovely people. They are what makes Primp unique, making every event and the experience of our clients special and memorable. With them by our side we are excited for what is ahead.

Making Tenants Smile: How Company Incentives Transform NYC Buildings

Imagine this, you walk into your office or apartment building and instead of a pile of work or a pile of mail, there is a Chair Massage Therapist waiting to greet you. Or maybe it is a Manicurist, either way, they are waiting to give a complimentary service and make your day. Many tenants do not have to imagine it. More than ever landlords are embracing creative ways like these to make tenants feel special and appreciated, relaxed and beautiful.

The power of these on-premise spa events was on full display during a recent collaboration we had with a major New York City commercial landlord. We set up hand and chair massage stations and made them available to tenants throughout the day. They loved it! There was a huge turnout, a lot of happy faces, and a massive wave of positive feedback and sentiment for building management.

At a time when our city has faced its share of challenges that have tested the resiliency of New Yorkers, a little act of kindness on the part of landlords can go a very long way. A well-crafted experience goes beyond just putting a smile on tenants' faces it makes them feel appreciated. It transforms apartments and offices into places where people feel valued.

Something else that’s cool about these events, they are for everyone from young professionals to families, to retirees. They bridge gaps between all the different kinds of people we spend our lives within feet of and create a sense of community. They forge little connections that remind us we are all in this together. The kind of connections that may make a tenant a little more likely to stick around.

In the end, it is all about the landlords who are willing to try something different. They are the ones turning buildings into more than just structures – they are creating spaces where happiness lives.

Our Experience at Greenhope Services for Women

Seeing the joy our services bring to people always makes me very happy, but it had never made me cry before, until last week. We had the pleasure of putting on an event for Greenhope Services for Women, a residential program for adult women seeking treatment for substance use disorder. One of the guests who was receiving a facial service started to cry. When asked if everything was okay, she shared that it was her first-ever facial experience, and it felt so incredibly nice that it brought tears of joy to her eyes. And you know what? It brought tears to my eyes too. It was a beautiful reminder of how small gestures can have such a big impact on someone's life.

For the event our team provided manicures, pedicures, facials, makeup application, and chair massages for Greenhope’s residents, and the services were much appreciated. These kinds of services were a first for many of the women that lived at Greenhope. To say they loved it would be a huge understatement. Those of us who have the good fortune of being able to get our hair or nails done on a more regular basis know how enjoyable these services are but also the boost they give to our overall feeling of well-being. It was truly special being able to share that feeling with people who have never had it before. And we hope to do it again soon.

BRAND ACTIVATION MOBILE MANICURE EVENTS

We recently partnered with Sally Hansen, a leading (and awesome!) nail care brand, to help them launch a new press on nail to the public. Our manicurists boarded a custom mobile spa truck and made stops around New York City introducing people to this new Sally Hansen product. It was a lot of fun! People loved getting on the bus, loved getting a complimentary service and really loved Sally Hansen’s new press on nail—which is quick to apply and looks fabulous on. There are over 20 new nail designs to select from and within minutes you can have a new set of nails. 

Product demonstrations are one of the events that make me most proud. These are important moments for a brand and getting a new product out there in the right way is critical. It means a lot that a brand entrusts us to help them do it. And we really play an important role from providing the service, to creating a positive experience, to educating consumers on the product.  Our ability to do that is all because of our amazing team that is experienced and talented, and also really nice. So all in all, it was great event with Sally Hansen, and we were honored as always to be part of it.
